US Qualified Treatment Centers for Cell and Gene Therapy

As cell and gene therapies (CGTs) continue to transform treatment for serious disease, a critical challenge has emerged: geography.
Today, the vast majority of CGT treatment is concentrated at large academic medical centers in major metropolitan areas. Yet millions of Americans reside in “CGT deserts” without easy access to these advanced therapies.
InspiroGene has developed an interactive map of Qualified Treatment Centers (QTCs) to illustrate where CGT care is currently available – and where opportunities for future growth exist. Our analysis shows that the total number of treatment sites has remained relatively unchanged over the past 12 months, underscoring the continued challenge to expand access.

Data Sources:
All data sourced by McKesson as of May 2025. Sources included McKesson Distribution Data, the American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (ASGCT), the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), BMT Infonet, and product websites of numerous cell and gene therapies.
Methodology:
We organized the list of qualified treatment centers by city, state and ZIP code, and then segmented the list using Designated Market Area (DMA) data, which defines distinct markets or metropolitan regions across the US using ZIP codes.
